July 2008 Update

At last, another update!

First of all, an update on our Project Brave Kids livelihood project.

I would like to thank the organizers for letting me be part of their worthwhile endeavor. And after a year of learning crochet and producing items, we had to part ways. Some of the participants either lost interest or didn't have enough time anymore. Its been quite tough for most of the moms to balance their need for recreation and their responsibility to their family especially to the child who is sick. Sadly, two of the moms whom I have taught crochet, lost their child to leukemia within the short time that I've known them.

On a positive note, some of them are now able to make crocheted items and sell it on their own.
